My ‘Therapy Philosophy’
I trained as an integrative therapist with a strong foundation in humanistic counselling, choosing this path because I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual. Every person is unique, and having a range of therapeutic approaches allows me to respond flexibly to each client’s needs.
Early in my practice, I trained in BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and went on to become an Advanced Practitioner. It quickly became clear that BWRT was the approach I felt most aligned with – and the one that delivered the most consistent results. I now use BWRT in most of my work because, quite simply, it gets results. Clients often report feeling better faster than they expected, and I continue to be impressed by how effectively it can bring about meaningful change.
Of course, no single approach works for everyone, but in my experience, BWRT helps most people feel a real shift in how they experience long-standing issues. You can read more about this in the [testimonials] section of my site.
Many people seek therapy when they’re struggling with problems they just can’t seem to resolve on their own – even those with strong support systems. Sadly, some clients come to me after trying other types of therapy that didn’t feel helpful or didn’t lead to real change. BWRT is different. It focuses on changing the brain’s automatic responses to things like anxiety, phobias, and trauma triggers, helping clients feel calmer, more in control, and free from patterns that have been holding them back.
While I still draw on conventional therapy techniques when appropriate, BWRT has become my primary approach – because, for most people, it works.
