My ‘Therapy Philosophy’
I trained as an Integrative Therapist with a solid foundation in Humanistic Counselling, driven by the belief that therapy should be tailored to each individual. Recognising that every person is unique, I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to respond flexibly to the needs of each client.
Early in my career, I trained in BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and went on to become an Advanced Practitioner. It quickly became clear that BWRT was the approach I felt most aligned with, as it consistently delivered the best results. I now use BWRT in the majority of my work because, simply put, it gets results. Clients frequently report feeling better sooner than they expected, and I continue to be impressed by how effectively it brings about meaningful, lasting change.
While no single approach suits everyone, in my experience, BWRT helps the majority of clients experience a real shift in long-standing issues. You can read more about this in the Testimonials section of my website.
Many people seek therapy when they’re struggling with issues they can’t seem to resolve on their own, even with strong support networks. Sadly, some clients come to me after other therapies have failed to bring about lasting change. BWRT differs in that it works by altering the brain’s automatic responses to anxiety, phobias, trauma triggers, and other emotional challenges, helping clients feel calmer, more in control, and free from patterns that have been holding them back.
Although I still draw on traditional therapeutic techniques when appropriate, BWRT has become my primary approach because, for most people, it works.
